CHILDREN'S ministry

Pomona Christian Church Children's Ministry provides a safe environment for children to build relationships and learn what following Christ is all about. We support families in cultivating a lifelong love for Jesus and a foundation of Bible knowledge in the future leaders of our church and communities (Proverbs 22:6). We accomplish our mission of sharing, following, and serving through weekly age graded Sunday School classes, weekly Preschool and Children's Worship Services, Wednesday night classes, the Upward Soccer Program, Summer Camps, Vacation Bible School, PCC Archery, and many other relationship building activities and trips. Parent involvement is fundamental to a child's faith and we desire to help foster conversation and growth at home as well as in community. We would love to visit with you and your children about how we can grow together!

Youth Ministry

PCC's Youth Ministry exists to develop adolescents in to fully devoted followers of Christ. This means that we desire each student to have made their faith their own and that they are committed to all that it means to follow Christ and be a part of His kingdom on earth. Through fun events, classes, worship services, mission trips and service projects we seek to accomplish this task. Also, because of students' deep commitment to Christ, it is our hope that his or her faith doesn't stop with them but is a contagious faith that spreads to other students in our community.

Small groups

The purpose of PCC's Small Group ministry is to provide an environment where participants experience authentic community and spiritual growth. Through developing relationships, spending time in prayer as a group and studying God's Word, this growth and community is developed. Always seeking to grow both spiritually and in number, our small groups welcome newcomers and even seek out those that aren't a part of our small group ministry. Without a strong community of believers around us in which we are able to open up and share or ask questions, it is very hard to grow as followers of Jesus. That's why we believe this is important! God designed us to live in community, leaning on each other, while relying on Him. We look forward to having you join us!

The Forge is a great place to connect and grow with other men. A ministry of PCC, The Forge strives to be a place where men can grow and overcome the many trials of life by leaning on each other and relying on God. The Forge meets every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month, at 6:30pm. All men 18 years and older are welcome to join.

More than just a rally or a Bible study, Men's Fraternity provides men with an encouraging process that teaches them how to live lives of authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus Christ and directed by the Word of God. Men's Fraternity was designed to help men come together and strengthen each other through weekly sessions that combine biblical teaching and small group interaction. Many individual men have also used the series in their own personal pursuit of authentic manhood.

Our Ladies Aid group is amazing. These dedicated women minister through quilting, writing cards to the sick and bereaved, and preparing meals. Anyone is welcome to be a part of this ministry. The group meets every Tuesday at 10 a.m. All women in our community are welcome to come and be a part of this tremendous ministry. It's a great time of connecting with other women and defining and meeting needs.

We moms need each other.  That's why we have a local MOPS chapter right here at PCC!  Our MOPS group meets on the second Friday of each month from 9-11.  You can expect to find breakfast and coffee (of course), a time to get to know other moms, a craft or guest speaker, and a short lesson on how to become the best version of you (let's face it...we've all had one of those days).  MOPS stands  for Mothers of Preschoolers.  Any mom with children ages 5 and under are welcome to attend.  And did we mention childcare?  Yes, we know even the best moms need a few minutes away from their kiddos (not to mention our wonderful staff of ladies who graciously come watch our children and provide them with fun, preschool-based activities).  We hope you can join us as we journey alongside each other and do this thing called motherhood.

Pomona Christian Church has a large mission program. Through the giving nature of the congregation at Pomona Christian Church, the mission team is able to give donations to 23 different mission organizations. These include local, national and international mission fields. PCC supports mission works in Albania, North Burma, Tunisia, Dominican Republic, India and Vanuatu. The PCC mission team is also able to support 13 organizations that are within our surrounding area. These range from Samaritan Outreach to college campus mission organizations. The PCC mission team also sets aside $12.5% of the annual mission budget to support mission events that PCC members attend. With this money PCC supports the youth mission trip as well as the international medical missions trip that Pomona Christian Church organizes and staffs.

It is with a giving heart that Pomona Christian Church is proud to support these mission teams doing God's work.

christian education

The goal of the Adult Christian Education Program (Sunday School) at PCC is to provide sound, biblical teaching presented in a variety of ways (i.e. scriptural exposition, in-depth topical study, the use of audio/visual tools) to aid in making disciples who share Jesus, follow Jesus, and serve Jesus. Our prayer echoes Paul’s in Ephesians 3:16-19. We seek to encourage an authentic desire to love and delight in Jesus and to remove our automatic responses against Him.

Visit our church library on Sundays and Wednesdays following services.  The library is stocked with movies, books, cds and reference materials for all ages.
